Our law firm’s approach

Mr. Dorsey had an epiphany about the practice of law just as he was finishing his education.  As former captain of the University of Florida Gators, he had always incorporated the strategy of both the offense and defense into his approach to the law, when he had a classic moment of questioning his own path and objectives in life. 

Famed sportscaster Brent Musburger was interviewing Edward Bennett Williams, a lawyer and the owner of the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Orioles.  Mr. Musburger asked why Mr. Williams would pursue sports-team ownership since he had such a successful career as a lawyer.

The team owner answered that the three most dynamic pursuits available, to his way of thinking, were sports, politics, and being a trial lawyer—that those three things always kept him on his toes and demanded he perform to his best abilities, because people were watching and expecting greatness from him.

Thirty-five years later, at The Dorsey Law Firm, the same approach keeps our practice going, too.
